Color

So as dreams go... I remember the dream as the chase has already begun. I'm joining a few people in search of someone. I don't know who or what we are saving him from, but I know that it is urgent. I know that I can't live without him- not just the cheesy romantic way but the suspenseful drama way. :) So we are running and driving and even flying (not the airplane, we are actually flying superman style) to get to this destination before it's too late. It's me, one other woman, and a man. The girl is like him (which I'll explain later), and the guy is a professor sort. He is good looking with glasses. They are both older twenties/younger thirties.

Eventually, we find the guy. He kind of looked like the professor guy except a little younger and no glasses. I felt this connection with him because we had risked so much to get to him, to save him, and I thought it was because he was supposed to be with this other woman or perhaps even with me. But as soon as we find him the girl wants nothing to do with him. She doesn't even care about him once he's safe. So while he's in the kitchen getting some food from his grandma, this other woman hooks up with the professor guy. The gross thing is that I think they were brother and sister, but it was ok because they weren't regular humans. They are different. (And not in a racial way) but they were color people. They had this inner soul thing that you saw as a color. Everyone was a different color, but you could only live in community with other colors. You could only take your color form when combined with others. (The color form looked like a big blob of color- red, blue, yellow, whatever- that just zoomed around.) For some reason, I had to join with this girl and professor. I wanted to be with the guy we just saved (he was a color too), but I couldn't. And once we were joined, I didn't matter to them. I had to go wherever they went. They were mean and bossy.

So eventually, I broke free from them. I told them I didn't want to be a part of them. I wandered around a ghetto looking downtown area, and this lady asked me who I was. I told her, and she tried to tell me I couldn't live outside the colors. I couldn't go back. I told her that I didn't care, but I would not join them. They didn't even notice I was gone. They were still zooming around. So then I went back to where this guy was. Why he was with his grandma, I don't know, but he was there. I told him that I didn't want to be with the other two. They were mean and never listened to me. I wanted/felt that I was supposed to be with him. He then explained to me that his Grandma was able to split her color. She was able to give one color somewhere and then live where she wanted to. I didn't think I could do this because I wasn't a real color. I was just given a color. But then he told me that I was a color. That I was lost and simply couldn't remember where I came from, but in fact, I was a special color because not everyone could split their colors. Only the elite few had the power. His grandmother was one, and so was I. I'd have to give one part of my color to the other two because once bonded together, you have to stay together. But then the other part of me could be with him there. He had to stay home with his grandma, but I was welcome to join him. I couldn't believe I was a color. And while I was realizing what all this meant... I woke up.

Forgot One, Found Another

Last night, I had a dream...

I was moving back to Colorado, and for some reason, I knew I had to get married. I don't know why, but it wasn't like the compulsion was an emotional desire. I literally had to be married or something bad would happen. I don't really remember the details beyond that. After this sudden and rash realization, it was settled on who I would marry through some matchmaking done by somebody. At this point in time I knew who it was, but later in the dream I couldn't remember who I was supposed to marry. I was so frantic because I simply couldn't remember who they told me I was supposed to marry. I was going through all the guys I knew but none of them were ringing any bells. I didn't know who I was supposed to marry. I became more distraught because I couldn't ask anyone. Everyone thought I was marrying this guy because I loved him which I had to tell them because they couldn't know why I had to be married. If they found out, the bad thing would happen. And so I am going crazy trying to figure out who I am supposed to marry without being able to ask anyone what his name was.

Then I had to go to a friend's wedding on my way home (and on my way to my wedding). I was trying really hard to remember who this guy was and about to cry because I couldn't ask anyone. Then all of a sudden I heard this voice and laugh I recognized. I turned around in my seat, and as I looked into the next room some people parted and there was my friend Kailin, who I know from Golden Bell. I was so excited. I remember thinking KAILIN!!!! I HAVEN'T SEEN HER SINCE BEFORE SHE GOT MARRIED. We practically ran to each other and had a long embrace. I think we might have been crying, but I definitely know we hugged for longer than the normal social time of hugs. I just missed her a lot.

I don't know how the dream concluded, but it was nice to see Kailin even if only in a dream. Miss you, friend! And to the husband I can't remember... see you later? lol
